From The Founders
The idea behind Aunty’s Cooking came to us out of our own desire to eat a healthier diet. We talked about how a lot of the options that were available to us seemed to totally sacrifice flavor. We just couldn’t buy into the idea that to eat healthy you had to eat bland.
When we dug into some of the health trends that were emerging we started noticing that spices like turmeric, red-chili powder, and others were quickly becoming popular for their various health benefits. We’d grown up eating those spices, so we wanted to figure out a way to bring in those authentic flavors while maintaining the goal of eating healthy.
Ultimately we realized how time consuming it was to visit ethnic grocers, specialty retailers, and etc. in order to source the many spices needed to achieve the authentic taste we grew up with. There were no quick solutions that were also health conscious. So we decided to make one ourselves. Quick, Healthy, Authentic.
